Export / import favorite bookmarks in Internet Explorer

Most of us have favorite websites which we visit on regular basis. We often add such websites to favorite websites bookmarks list in Internet Explorer. This allows us to easily visit such websites in few simple clicks without having to type website address in Internet Explorer. Besides saving bookmarks, you can also import or export them for easy transfer.

For example: if you like favorite websites bookmarks on your friend’s computer, you can export favorites and save them as file. Then import that file into Internet Explorer on your computer. As a result same bookmarked websites will appear in IE on your computer.

Export & backup bookmarks / favorites

1. Open Internet Explorer & goto File > Import and Export.
2. Click Next on the welcome screen.
3. Select Export Favorites on left side & then click Next.
4. Select specific or all favorites folder that should be saved.
5. Select destination folder to save the bookmarks file.
6. Click Finish to save bookmarked favorites.

1. Open Internet Explorer & goto File > Import and Export.

3. Select Import Favorites on left side & then click Next.
4. Select file from which bookmarks should be imported.
5. Click next and finish to see imported bookmarks in IE.
