How to create shortcut icon on desktop in Windows?

Shortcut Icons  allow you to quickly access various applicationa and features of Windows operating system. You can easily create shortcut icons as per requirement as perform various tasks more quickly and efficiently.

Create Shortcut Icon

1. Right click on empty area on desktop. Then point to the New option and click on shortcutoption in the popup menu.

2. In the new window, enter the direct shortcut link for specific application. Alternatively, you can click on browse and select EXE file of any software installed on the computer.

3. Click Next button and then type the name of your shortcut. Then click Finish button and you should see new shortcut icon on desktop.

Click on Start > all program and then right click on application name, then point to Send To and then click desktop (create shortcut).
