There are times we need to refer to old chat records of conversation done using Google Talk. By default option to save chat records in turned ON and all chat records are saved in related Gmail account.
View previous chat records
1. Login into Google Talk.
2. Click on buddy name whose chat records you want to access.
3. In New window, click on arrow > view past chats (see pic).
This will open a new window showing chat records of related Google Talk buddy in date-wise order. You can browse any previous chat record or delete any as per need. You can click on ‘Chat’ option on the left menu in Gmail inbox to view latest Google Talk chat records.

in:chats from:(name@email.com) search string
example
in:chats from:(Vijay@gmail.com) movie night
Vijay is the name name from from the last poster might not be a valid email address
