Will new MS Office 2013 work on my Computer or Mac


Microsoft Office 2013 software is now available for download and purchase. It has lot of new features within programs like: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access. Before buying or installing new Microsoft Office 2013, make sure you check if new Office 2013 software will work on your existing Window PC or Mac computer. Following is basic listing of minimum system hardware and software requirements for using new Microsoft Office 2013 suite software.

Minimum System Requirements of MS Office 2013 software

1. Operating System – It should work fine on Windows 8 and Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) operating systems. You cannot install new Office software on older Windows operating systems like Vista and XP. For Apple users, new Office software should work on Mac OS X version 10.5.8 or later.


2. Processor and Memory – 1 GHz or greater x86/x64 processor with SSE2 instruction set for Windows PC and Intel processor Mac system. On memory front, 1 GB RAM (32-bit or Mac) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit) is required for new Microsoft Office program.

3. Hard Disk and Graphics – This software needs 3 GB free disk space on Windows PC) or 2.5 GB HFS+ hard disk format on Mac systems. Graphics hardware acceleration requires DirectX 10 graphics card and 1366 x 728 resolution in Windows PC, 1280 x 800 screen resolution support on Mac systems.
