Create new Google account with any existing email ID

Login using Google account is required to use all features of various Google products like Google Search, Youtube and so on. If you already have a Gmail account, then you do not need to create new Google account. You can use login details of Gmail account, as it also serves as your Google account. However, if your email address with different provider (other than Gmail) like Yahoo Mail, Live Hotmail – you can create new Google account using that existing email address.

Setup new Google account using any email ID

1. Goto google.com and click Sign in button at top right to open Google Account sign in page. Alternatively, you can directly open Google Accounts login webpage. Then click ‘Create an account now’ button at bottom right part. This will open ‘Create an Account’ webpage.

2. First (and most important) field is to enter valid email ID or address (Valid email ID means working email ID in which you are able to login to check, read and send email messages).

3. Then enter any password (as per your choice). Please note, here you do not have to enter password of the email ID account that you are entering. For example: if you entered johnabc@yahoo.com in email ID field, then do not enter password you use to open johnabc@yahoo.com email account on Yahoo Mail. Use a different password and make sure you remember it.

4. Click to check or uncheck ‘Stay signed in’ and ‘enable web history’ options. Also select your location by selecting country from drop down box. You may also get box to enter your birthday date details.

5. Enter the verification characters in the box provided. Scroll down to read through ‘terms of service’ if you really want to.

6. Then click ‘I accept, Create my account’. Once you submit the information, Google send you verification email on email address provided by you at the time of creating Google account. Open your email account inbox and check for verification email message from Google.

7. Open email from Google and click on verification link provided in the email message. This will activate your new google account. Then you can goto google.com website, click Sign in button and then enter login details of your new Google account to confirm if it working.
