Capture screenshot on Chromebook [Chrome OS]

Ideally we use PrintScrn button to capture screenshot image of current window on devices with Windows operating system. Chrombook devices with Chrome operating system requires you to press different key combination to capture screenshot of current state on the device. Once you take screenshot on Chromebook, it is automatically saved in specific location for  further copy, editing or sharing purposes.

Keys combination to take screenshot on Chromebook

1. To capture screenshot of current window, press Ctrl and Switch window key. You can find Switch window key between ‘full screen’ and ‘brightness down’ keys in the top row of keyboard.

2. After you press this key combination, image will be automatically saved in Screenshots folder. Press Ctrl + M keys to open file manager.

3. Then goto File Shelf > Screenshots to view or copy capture screenshot image. Further, you can copy and move screenshot image to external storage device or to Picasa Web Album.

4. Double click to open Screenshot image in Chrome browser viewer. Then right click on image and select Save As option. Then select external storage option to move or copy the screenshot photo.

5. Alternatively, you can also directly copy and upload screenshot to Picasa Web Album. Just click ‘Send to Picasa’ option at bottom right part of image viewer window.
